I have an invention that I think will probably get a lot of business. I am going to describe it here so any of you out there can put the finances and work into it and I will just buy from you.... LOL I was thinking about the thread few days back about the trailer riding high and not level because the truck was lifted etc. People recommended blocking trailer etc. Well, My trailer rides a little high as well. Not terrible, but not level either. Reason being my new Dodge Dually 4x4 is just a tall sucker and that I can't fix. I don't want to block axle cause I don't want to have to install a ramp. lol I can lower the nose just fine and make it ride level but I only have about 4" clearance between the trailer and tail gate. Which is fine for going down the highway. But at my house I have a couple turns that I fear the trailer would make contact and hit my tail gate. Truck is to new for a scratch and I consider my trucks family so if I hit it, I would probably lose it and ball like a baby in the middle of my driveway... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Someone needs to invent an ELECTRIC gooseneck coupler than can be raised and lowered with the click of a button. Raise it up to make my corners etc, lower it back down when I get out on the open road!!! You keep the patent, just let me have a free one please... Thats all I ask.....

LOL This is a great idea!  Are we sure we exhausted all of our Goolge Power and have found that these in fact do not exist??

I will Google. Surely someone has thought of this before!?

Ive been searching and Searching. So far all I find is the traditional Pin adjustment ones with the screw in the front of the nose.. LOL There might be a problem with locking it in place once they have the height you want????

What if it worked similar to the air bags on a truck or trailer?

Agree, I had to raise the tongue on my trialer too, it was hitting my trucks on turns that were not level.  Like yours, it is not much of an angle but I htink it was contributing to all the blowouts I was having.  Upgraded my tires so hopefully that will help.  I am thinking about gettin my axles blocked

I was the one with the other thread with the lifted truck. I think that's a phenomenal idea!

Kinda yea... with being adjustable on the fly. But there is a reason there is a PIN and a Screw to hold them in place. THey do bear a tremendous amound of weight. You would hate to have it fail and slam down on the bed of your truck. LOL Probably a reason one isint available. LOL I would even get one that you adjust electrically and then step out and put a pin in it. lol THat would still be so worth it to me.

I could easily just take my tailgate off, probably get better MPG, but I sure do like my back up camera!!!! And it just happens to be on the tail gate..

They already make what you are talking about in an air ride system. You would have to change your hitch to a fifth wheel and shorten your nose and install an air ride adjustable king pin which can be controlled remotely. Parts would cost you around 2000 and about 1000 to install. I did this to a 3 car trailer worked fine. But in your case I think it would be far cheaper to add an air bag system to the trailer with a remote control in the truck. That would let you raise the trailer going down the road by adding air and lowering the trailer after you get there so no need for a ramp.
