I'm having a 10 month goal shipped from one corner of the country to another. It will be a 5 day trip in a box stall with stops every night (horses get off at night). Any helpful advice for the trip as well as once she arrives?

I've been told to quarantine the foal for 2 weeks when she gets to my home - what other advice can you give? :)

You can have them tubed with mineral oil to help keep them lubricated during the trip.

We ship 5 and 6 month old babies all the time. From WY to CA, FL, GA, PA all over and never have any issues. Most don't get stalled every night either, but as long as it is a reputable shipper, they offer water and have a hay bag for them.

last time I did this I had the seller give a cheap $7 tube of probios before they handed him over to the hauler. I don't know how much of a difference it makes if any but its a little peace of mind.
