| Cur Ost has a new formula called Revive. I would either email or go to secondvet.com forum to ask Dr. Schell what he recommends. I would also get in contact with Bob about THE. Then you can decide which product, if any, you want to use. |

Location: North Dakota | I would think to start with pure and move to total if using curost formulas. I would absolutely email Dr. Schell. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Had no luck with THE , tried a few formulas this last summer to try to save some money. Went back to Cur-Ost. Customer service at THE was very good, shipping time excellent, wanted it to work for our situation badly, but just didn't get the results on it. |

Location: NE Texas | Definitely Cur-Ost. Laminitis is one of Dr. Schell's favorite subjects and one he's confident in managing. Of course diet plays a big part in these guys as well, which he will go in to when you consult with him. This was recently a discussion a couple weeks ago on the Office Hours equine discussion page on facebook as well. Lots of good information every week during the discussions on Wednesday nights. https://www.nouvelleresearch.com/index.php/articles/315-laminitis-in-the-horse

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | THE NitrOxide. Saved 2 broodmares with it years before I ever started to distribute for the company. That was one of the things that sold me on the company. Both had some sort of strange metabolic issue-guessing insulin resistance per the vets. Both were daughters of Hot Colours. $95 for 30 days and we often run specials during the year. I have never tried CurOst, but with the good luck I have had with NitrOxide, it is my go to and I always have some on hand. I actually used it just this last summer when a broodmare came up lame. Couldn't find a thing wrong with her, but put her in the corral to see the vet. Within a few days she went into all the symptoms of full blown laminitis without the digital pulse. Feet were so hot it was terrifying and she was not stable enough to haul 17 miles over super rough gravel roads to the vet...nor could I get a vet within 90 miles to come see her. Too busy. So I did what my vet recommended with icing her feet, Banamine and my trusty NitrOxide twice a day. She came out of it with no lasting effects. Got her to a vet when she was stable to travel and she had a needle tip broke off and wandering around her coffin joint. I also keep my old pony on it in the summer. He doesn't get any turn out when it is spring and fresh grass, but just to be safe he gets THE in the summer too. We've had him roughly 4 yrs and so far so good. Not one bout of sore feet. |
