horsingaround - 2017-02-23 6:58 AM One of my favorite mares is  Peppy san Badger bred . she is 9 years old. worried about all the new info on PSSM, thinking she is old enough to say she dodged that bullet. I would read and learn about PSSM. Thinking it will change the breeding game tremendously???





Look at "Bling" so sad and painfull



 

Actually PSSM symptoms most often show up later in life....about the age of your mare :(  
Obviously, there are exceptions....some are showing symptoms in their first year and some live a full life without showing any.  The only way to know if your horse is clean is to test.
