Location: At home | As you may already know, my sister has lost two kids to cancer. Robin died from Leukemia and Rick from Kidney cancer, less than 5 years apart. Lila, their Mom, was just diagnosed with breast cancer. i don't know how this can possibly be happening. this family has been thru SO much and still their faith has remained strong. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, but it was two days after Rick's death, so they just passed it over. We did celebrate a bit the next year, but it's not the same. They don't know any more than that, but will find out on Friday what the treatments will be.
PLEASE, just pray for Lila, and Jim........the whole family. They are such a loving couple, never a party, drinking, arguing couple - just happy seeing their kids grow and now the grandkids. Lila's idea of a great day is baking cookies with the grandkids - - this year, my brother & his wife talked them into taking a bus tour to Branson! That was the highlight of the year, cuz they just are happy being at home. i know i'm rambling.........just don't know how to handle this yet - - except for praying. Thank you, guys | |
