Extreme Veteran Posts: 516	If they're performance horses I'd add a joint supplement. Hard keeper I'd add a half cup oil. But like the above poster said, depends on what you're trying to achieve. Your program is somewhat similar to mine: Bermuda pellets, oats, Platinum, alfalfa ration balancer, alfalfa. Once they're back home on pasture the ration balancer goes buh-bye. Keep it simple. They don't need 20 different supplements to be healthy.

If the hay is free choice, imo you have a good program. I have similar accept I don't feed oats. I give a all in one supplement too-THE Muscle Mass so they are getting the required amino acids. You can add a joint and ulcer prevent blend.

Texas Taco Posts: 7499 Location: Bandera, TX	I would add some oil to it to increase healthy fats (omega 3s and 6s). Supplementation depends on the horse and the issue he may have. I feed very similar to you, just alfalfa cubes rather than pellets.
