This. But I like the bumpers for my horses. I do have the ball points though too. LOL Either would work in my opinion

I agree with this! I have rather big spurs, with a long neck and fairly large, pokey rowels. I desensitized him too much on the sides as a baby because I always rubbed him all over, all the time. He completely ignored the dull flat ones. But my horse has never been gouged or hurt with them, I just use them to gently cue my horse as an extension of my leg and he listens.
