Can anyone offer some suggestions to help me with my buddy sour mare.
She is six, a cutting reject. I have had her with a trainer, he did ground work and rode her. Then I sent her to get rode for thirty days.
I am riding her now, but she can't stand to be away from my other mare.

Clinton Anderson has an awesome video on youtube about buddy sour horses! I suggest watching that =] Essentially, its making your horse lope circles around the other horse when you're close, and taking a break when your farther away. So you're rewarding when your away from other horses. I had good luck with using it on a horse also! Good luck =]

You also might try separating her and feeding her a lb of alfalfa pellets, grooming, and hand grazing her for a couple weeks. Make yourself a pretty good buddy.

Make being near her buddy hard work and rest when she's further away. Keep doing this.
