Chalky Sweat?

Hey y'all I remember reading an article a while ago about white residue from sweat after a work out and how its because the horse is unhealthy to a degree? I was wondering if y'all experience the same thing and if so what to do about it. Is it like lacking of minerals or what?
Thanks!

My horse sometimes looks like he went through the car wash with the foam brush, sometimes. Always when he's dirty and not had a bath. Like now when the temps
(low 70s
) and water are too cold for a bath and the winter dirties are still attached, but he's full of himself and won't calm down.
When he's squeaky clean, he just sweats. Edit to add...don't worry about it.
