Depends, is that the sole purpose of the horse, am I going to go trial riding every weekend, or once a month.

Can the horse sit for 6 months at time, am I trail riding by myself, is the horse herd bound?

How does it cross, water, bog, rivers?

Does he need shoes?

How does he tie over night, how is he around carts, and horse drawn wagons?

I know some people who have paid over 5500 for a trail horse, but these people trail ride all the time and the horse they bought was bomb proof

Location: Arkansas		For the kind of horse I have to have to be able to ride (trail, pleasure, "play around") I expect 5000 and up. . . . My mother can never see this post!!!!!
