If you have someone there to help you hold feed fer treats or hand feed her grain while you give it. I had a horse that could bend a needle she would tense up so bad so I would have someone feed her a treat while I gave the shot.

Unfortunately, i'll be alone.  But I was going to put either some grain in a bucket, or treats, or something, and give it to her while she's munching away.

i have had horses that hated shots and the best thing is to get them used to it adequan LOL

seriously I usually don't even halter them i get them some goodies and while they are busy I just jab- check- plunge- done in about 2 secs. sometimes they look up started and look around then they go back to eating even the totally bad horses! most of the shot probs with horses are from the person showing nerves

Practice on a firm orange.
I'm not a fan of IV but am proficient IM.
My horses get monthly Pentosan and they don't care.
I had a TOUGH broodmare at work and the owner would make it worse by instructing me to "sneak" her pnumabort(sp) shots or yearly vacs. We even had stocks. I did it her way ONCE. After that I just started grooming her particularly her super long mane. I'd brush and braid and sneak in the shot with zero hesitation and she never even knew. Now worming some of those beeeatches was tricky
