My friend just got one and I sat in it and I love how deep it is. My horse is a free running powerful turning horse. I'm thinking this saddle might help me stay in position. Anyone have any experiences with one? Would I get a wide fit if my horse is an 8" gullet for a regular saddle? He is 16.1, short backed, solid built, and has a good whither. If a horse has never had a treeless will he have issues with adjusting to it? Has anyone had a horse hate a treeless? If you have other suggestions for saddles with deep seats let me know those too! Thanks!

I love my JBN.  You'd want a wide version for a wide horse, as long as they don't have much in the way of withers.  My gelding is 16.1 huge, and has huge withers.  I have a reg. model on him.  My geldings had no problems getting used to treeless and I've had a ton less back problems with them after I switched.

And you're going to get 99 people that say they hate them here.  And yes, some horses can't tolerate a treeless.

Why dont you try your friends JBN saddle on your horse to if it fits and then you will know if you need the wide are the Reg fit. And you horse will need to get use to the feel of a treeless.

Yes, very good idea! I think I'm going to have to do that. I hate to spend all that money and find it doesn't work for us.

I like them, but I know some people have had issues with the quality, such as them being made crooked. If yours is put together correctly I really enjoyed riding in my sister's. She felt a little trapped in it, because of how deep the seat is, but that's a personal preference. My horse went very nicely in it as well. I had the wide gullet and he also fits an 8" gullet crown C.

I'm a hater.

Circle Y should be ashamed of asking the prices they do for the quality of their saddles.

I have one because its the only saddle i could find for my 16.1 coffeetable. Its  a very secure treeless that isnt as ugly as some. looks more like a real saddle. My only problem is that high backend on it. And with the power of my guy, at the last race he powered out and i grabbed the horn and it kinda moved back with me. that i didnt like. Most people that get them love them. And yes get the wide fit.
