I have a 96 dodge truck That leaks gas real fast and I can't find where and it will stop sometimes and I noticed if I loosen gas cap it won't leak but today I heard what sounded like electric wire sizzling in same area? Are there wires down there? And how can I fix it or have someone fix?

Why not just take your truck to a mechanic and have them look at it for you, if you are hearing wires sizzing and you have a gas leak  not a good mixture..

Good grief......don't you know that "electrical sparks" and gas can cause an explosion.....take the truck to the nearest service station and they should be able to find you a mechanic !!!

Really? I find that hard to believe. I'm stationed in Yuma which is 10 minutes from the border and there is a whole plethora of extremely talented mechanics all over the place out here. Do some research and you'll find something.

Columbus is not close to the Mexican border at all your like 5 hours away, your not far from Houston. Theres got to be tons of mechanic's in that area, just call around and find one to help you out..I'm in Seguin and Columbus is not that far off of 10 and I know theres mechanic's along I 10..  Edit to ask: LOL, but are you in Columbus Texas?

So are you in Columbus New Mexico?  If so where do you buy your gas, I would ask them who would beable to help you out. Might be some local dude that could fix your truck for you for a six pack of beer..
