Believe it or not your skin over produces oil to make up for lack of hydration. I lather on lotion before bed and right when I wake up in the mornings. It helps control oil all day long. Your skin is hydrated so it doesn't have to produce oil to hrdrate your skin. My dermatologist told me this secret. I use a brush similar to the one pictured to apply my make up thinly and evenly. It is the only brush I have found that doesn't cake on the foundation. I do one pump for my whole face and blend well. I use a setting powder (translucent) and then use bronzer to even out my skin tone and match my neck since the translucent washes me out a bit. If you get powder on your eye lashes and then apply mascara it makes them look extra long! I use E.L.F. cosmetics from target or walmart. Very cheap. I have sensitive skin and have yet to have a breakout. Once my makeup is how I want it, I spray on a setting mist for all day hold. Products I use by elf: Primer: $5.99 Foundation or BB Cream: $3.79-$6.00 Powder: $1.99 Eyeliner: $0.99 Brow pencil: $1.99 Mascara: $2.99 Finishing spray: $2.99 Matte Lip Color: $3.99 I use all their brushes as well. Cheap and looks great! Do you use a real Artis brush or did you find a more affordable knockoff? I found one at TJMaxx for $4.99. Let me see if I can find the link to the one I have. If you go to TJ Maxx online they have a million options. Mine was regular $7.99 and it was on clearance for $4.99. I bought a bottle of brush cleaner for $4.99 for it so I clean it every day and that helps. Here is the whole brush set for $16.99 http://tjmaxx.tjx.com/store/jump/product/4pc-Perfecting-Brush-Set/1000207689?cs=PDP&rrec=true

Location: MN | Im not sure if I do my face justice with my routine but I really do HATE wearing makeup. BUT, I have been blessed with blonde hair (including my eyelashes) and blue eyes. So if I dont at least wear mascara, I look dead! Im also very freckly on my cheeks and I've learned to embrace those LOL.
My daily routine: Rinse face with water and a towel Apply toner into my t-zone, then use a 50 SPF moisturizer. Bare Minerals N20 matte BLUSH J-Lo's mascara (I forget the name of it, but it's the bomb) Then, if I'm feelin spiffy, I'll apply a light colored eyeshadow and white into my corners. Top it off with my Burts Bee's tinted chapstick and WAHLAH.
Done in 5 min or less.

Location: Gainesville, TX | I wear makeup to church. I have dark hair and dark lashes (which are long). I may put a little lip balm on to prevent chapping and sunscreen. That's pretty much it. |

It's not my fault I'm perfect

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | I use BB Cream, Younique's really evens out your skin tone without that cakey feel. And I simplify my looks at barrel races. Primer is a must have, I do use a day cream with SPF 20, and then apply my BB Cream over it. I'll use a setting powder or pressed powder (using a fluffy brush) to set my makeup. I rarely contour or use blush and really skimp on my eye makeup. I use the bare essentials when I'm away from home for eyes, shadow, liquid liner, and mascara are a staple for me - because of my blonde lashes otherwise I look like a 12 year old. lol
I have pictures of different foundations etc. if you are interested. Let me know!

| I have blonde hair and eyelashes too, plus freckles, so without mascara and some makeup I also look like a 12 year old!! I really want to try the Rodan and Fields products, I actually know someone who sells it too, its just expensive! I have tried elf but I don't like their primer at all, I don't know, I feel like it makes the makeup crease more? I'm huge into drug store makeup too though, I don't like to spend a ton on makeup, but with that said I can't really expect the best quality at a drugstore so that's my own fault! I do know quite a bit about skin care and makeup, BUT I am always up for learning something knew and am really enjoying reading everyone's tips |

| This might sound weird...and my routine probably looks terrible compared to all yours!! Haha but I actually do my make how I normally would the day before a race. I do it a few hours before bed =] Then I get up in the morning and head out! The only thing I do is wipe a cotton swab under my eyes to get out those mascara dark circles. But I find that doing it the day before, it has time to really set in to your pours and stay on through sweat =] Probably doesn't look as great! But I'm not a huge one for make up anyways =p But it always stays on, no matter the conditions out =] That's my routine <3 |

Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | I have worn Merle Norman since high school. I love doing my whole face to go out or be dressed up, but running barrels in the east Texas heat is a whole different story. I'm fortunate to have very clear skin and surprisingly hardly any freckles, considering I'm a readhead! I usually use tinted moisturizer, concealer under my eyes and set that with a loose powder. I don't usually leave the house without eyeliner and mascara, but I'll only buy waterproof. |

I used to wear make up all the time, then I started working at a feed store and got lazy, and now real make up makes my skin feel itchy. If my complexion seems off I will put on lotion and then powder over top just to even it out.
I'm also allergic to all SPF products (have been since I was little, tried a million products from the dermatologist, I react to everything), so I can't use most make up anyway. |
