If you want lots of lively discussion just title your post Impeach Trump.  After 18 pages of comments the mods will freeze it though.

I'm not in any of the "cliques" here...but I don't think it has anything to do with that.  I've had some questions answered numerously...others barely get a reply.  I don't understand the big deal either way?  If you don't get an answer to a question, keep bumping.  Some questions are harder to answer.  But based on your initial post, if you see someone else with the similar question/issue that gets lots of answers, well that might be why your post isn't answered...

For example, I feed renew gold (apparently, half the world does too) but I do not get on every single renew gold post because honestly I get tired of seeing that word on this forum every other day.  Doesn't mean someone asking about it (or anything else - insert your question/subject into the example) isn't important, but it just gets redundant to people.

Multiple threads month after month about the same thing make me bored.  But that's just me..

Cliques?? There are cliques here??!! Am I in one???

Yes there are folks that know each other on this board. Yes there are those that share opinions on certain topics. Yes some speak up more often than others.

When I was young I was a bit withdrawn and would speak to no one unless they spoke to me first. I would not even smile at someone first for fear of being rejected. As the years passed, I learned that no one really ever died of embarrassment, that if spoke up and no one answered the sky did not fall, that if I didn't know something I asked someone I respected (a good way to get respect in return as a matter of fact), that if I offered help and no one wanted it, that was OK too. I received some good advice along the way...things like if you want to have friends you have to BE a friend and that includes letting someone help YOU sometimes. Also of note, if you want honest answers, you have to ASK honest questions, not snarky comments.

As others have pointed out in earlier comments, sometimes getting an answer requires asking at certain times of the day.

As one who grew up feeling I was always on the outside looking in, I have found myself quite comfortable on this board....but I think that it has more to do with ME than those on this board. Most have been quite welcoming and helpful if you let them. Be persistent instead of resentful.

Hiding - 2017-05-15 12:36 PM I'm amazed at how someone can ask for help and get ZERO replies and someone that is in the "it crowd" gets pages of answers for a similar question.

What's amazing is that you posted a slightly snarky comment and have gotten 3 pages of responses....That must make YOU part of the "it crowd" ??????

If a question is posted and I think I can give a valuable answer or opinion, I will! However I'm pretty limited on barrel racing knowledge (I'm more into roping) I have educated myself as much as possible on feed(most I've learned from reading on here!) I'll be honest, I know nothing of breeding or bloodlines lol! I know who the big names are, but that's about it! I'm not really familiar on tack either, I just know what im using and what's worked for me! I appreciate coming on here and learning something new almost daily! And I feel 100% comfortable asking a question on here, horse related or not.

I think this is a great place to ask and learn  , I think the ones that do ask questions and then get the answers they dont like and then they get really snarky with the op's that are trying to help them are the ones we remember and then dont respond to them much any more when they do ask for help are want a question answered, sad but true .. But then we have Op's on here that are thankful for all the help they can get and those are the ones we remember and what to help in any way shape or form.

I just mostly soak up the knowledge cause most of the time I don't feel like I know enough to be helpful or trying to answer questions. I look to y'all for that!!!

There are cliques everywhere - mostly are just a group of people who have known each other for a while. A new person has to kind of earn a slot in. However, I'm not part of a clique and haven't posted in quite awhile either and have gotten both blasted and good advice when I have posted here. I think the responses have a lot to do with the timing of yourr request. Late at night and on busy show weekends, your post is less likely to get read. And sometimes it just takes a bit longer or a couple of tries to get a response.

Yep, everywhere... even in the pasture! My 2 older geldings stick together and the 2 younger guys stick together... far away from each other too.. rarely do they all mingle together, if one tries to get in with a different "clique" he is run off ... I imagine it's because they have completely different political views

1DSoon - 2017-05-16 10:12 AM This situation makes me sad on a cellular level.

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends.

And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this board will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all posters are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons and daughters of former posters and the sons and daughters of former actual doers will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of BHW a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the number of post or NBHA World show Wildcards purchase but by the content of their character.
Well, that was redundant

Redundant?  To what?
