Is the Jeff Smith saddles on a buster welch tree, is that the same tree the Crates Meleta Brown's were made on? Are all Jeff Smiths made on that tree? How do the Jeff Smith's ride?

Yes, with modifications. Look on his website for specs. They ride like a cutter with raised ground seat. If you like your feet in front of you and ride your pockets you will love his saddles. If you ride the center of your seat and up over your horses shoulders you will not like them as much.

Thank you. So oddly in the Meleta brown my feet tend to go back? Is that the tree or the saddle?

Your seat may be too small. I had this trouble when first trying her saddles and figured out I needed to go up 1/2 a size bigger than I normally do and had no problems after that.

Ok thanks, that makes perfect sense. Would that be the same if I was looking into a Jeff Smith saddle?
