Building stalls

We are in the process of purchasing a property and it will be the first time I have been able to have my horses at home. There is a pole building already located on the property that we plan to build two 12x12 stalls into with a large tack room as well. We are planning to build three sides with the c channel metal and wood that slides in but were planning to purchase stall fronts. The stalls will face the pasture and open into a small area I plan to put some type of special footing into so the horses can be out of their stalls in winter but not destroying the pasture. In better weather they will have access right from the stall to the pasture. We live in the PNW and we see ALOT of rain for most of the year! We do plan to build on an overhang as well to stop some of the weather and give more shelter from weather.
Looking for ideas or recommendations on who to buy the stall fronts from. And what style is best for stalls that they can run into as they please.
Also need recommendations for stall mats and installation. It's currently dirt floors. Not sure if I should gravel underneath the mats or what mats are best as far as durability and comfort?
Also wondering what type of footing to put in the "sacrifice area". We deal with a lot of mud for most of the year and I want to minimize as much as possible, but obviously want something that's not going to have a negative effect on there feet.

Best stall floors are matts over crushed concrete with shavings. We built my stalls and built stall fronts too. I had a local welder build the doors. I would make the north wall solid to block the north wind. I live in the south so we build for the heat.

Thank you! The stalls will face towards the south, so hopefully that helps with some of the wind and rain coming in. I was even debating doing Dutch doors so when it's really nasty out I can fully shut their stalls up, but I think with the overhang it won't be too bad.

RE: Building stalls
Stall fronts
for now buy you a couple of 12ft panels with 4ft bow
gates built into the panel ..
You can lag bolt them to the pole barn and run a 2x6
across the top to stabilize the bow gate even more
by lag bolting the bow to the board.
This way you can decide what needs to be done to stall floors
and if you want fancier stall fronts ... you can use these panel/
bow gates in your runs or round pen ... no $$'s wasted
Also, we are all conditioned to think of 4ft gates in stall fronts ..
also consider just having 12ft swing gates which allows easier
access to strip or add sand etc ... you will find these 12 ft gates
are easier to live with vs 4 ft gates ..
and can be used elsewhere if you don't like them ..
MUD ... if your barn roof drains into your pens the best thing
to do is run gutters to drain water to ends of barn instead
of the pens ...
