If all of your "winners" are cookie cutter 14" saddle riders order the best you can afford-if the "winners" are not all the same size.....put together a certificate towards the purchase of a saddle of their choice-just make sure they have stirrup leathers made that acknowledge the win. Many people will not ride a trophy saddle BUT if they are given the option to pick their seat size and/or tree width, you will most likely see those trophy saddles out and about-which ultimately advertises your association thus drawing more members/runs/funds.

I really like the idea of certificates that can be used with the stipulation that the saddle is lettered with the association/sponsors/award. I remember talking to some of the Iowa kids at the NHSFR when I went, and their state association did that. One of the girls paid a little extra above the certificate value and got the extras she wanted on the saddle that she couldn't have had otherwise. If it's exactly what they want, it will get used and seen around.

I 100% agree with the above posts on the certificate. My daughter won a saddle 2 years ago in the circuit we were showing in and they gave us a set amount they would pay and we paid extra to get the tooling we wanted and also the shorter fenders and wider bars. They then got the stamping done before they presented her with the award. It is her every day saddle now. I am so glad we were able to go with what fit our horse and the options we wanted!

Teskey's.
They have 3 saddle lines for trophy: a cheap saddle made in India, a median Saddle made in Mexico, and a top notch saddle made in the US.
Call them at 817 599 3400
We have used them many many times before for awards. They work with your budget. ETA Teskey's does the certificates too. They take care of ally our orders from each contestant too.

a couple of our associations gave us the option of a coriente saddle or we could choose which saddle brand we wanted and we paid the difference between the coriente and our brand of choice. We just had to put the lettering on our saddles. This was a great idea...

Thank you all!
We are definitely interested in individualizing prizes etc, I am hoping to get specifics from each winner and order accordingly. But I still think it's important to have them displayed at the banquet so that's what I'm aiming for. Will definitely look at these options
Any other brands out there under 1,000?
