Pretty thrilled with the performance this guy turned in out in Lincoln, NE this weekend for the bonus race. Just starting his second year running and we clocked just a gnats arse too fast for the 3D. Last year he was bottom of the 3D and 4D here. So while it would have been cool to leave with a 3d horse and a pile of cash, I have a 2d horse by .005

I only just really figured out what I need to do to get him by them a couple weeks ago. These were our two clean runs. We tipped the other 2, but they were overall good patterns, his turns were spot on, there was just the edge of a barrel in the way...we will dial that in more.

I love this race for its close proximity to us and the opportunity to see some of the best run. By far the highlight of my day today was getting to watch Trula Churchill and the great Worm run - wow!!!

Btw - he's 14.1, straight cowbred, and I'm 5'9, don't count the little ones out, we're coming back next year for ya!

Thank you guys, he really has turned into something special. We are keeping our eyes peeled for a prospect with similar papers in our budget.

One of these days I fear I'll break an ankle tho...

Thank you! He took some getting use too. When we went to look at/get him we ball parked him at 14.3 or so. Got him home and sticked him at 14.1. Had a good laugh over bringing home a d*mn pony.

My husband heeled on him one night a month or so after we got him, hubby's 6'4 and little man dropped to his belly cutter style in the corner and about crawled out from under him. He's an absolute blast and has been so easy to pattern he's spoiled me.

Nice runs! I would not have guessed he was that small. He doesn't even look to be running hard at all -- that's awesome where you clocked. Tells me he's SMOOTH and efficient.

Nice work!

Yes and with the small rodeo pens around here I expect him to be pretty wicked. He doesn't feel like he's running near as hard as when we breeze, so I hope with runs and confidence he steps it up

Very much cutting bred. No idea of his past training other than when I acquired him he had a great handle on him already aside from not neck reining (def not an issue on the barrels. Makes roping on him a little tricky). He very much wants to run past a calf and turn it back, he'd make a FUN horse to sort, pen, or do working cow horse on.

I need to get a video of him on the poles.

We are pretty partial to the Mr San Peppy lines. Both this horse and my husbands great rope horse go back to him. The rope horse has placed in the 3D with our 10 yr old niece at open races, no formal barrel training - just crazy well broke and athletic.

We would love another Dual Pep in the barn.
