Hmm. The transport company would have fired my husband if he did that. When he quit he turned his key in. The only reason he had a key was because the new trailers were locked to keep vandals out when on the transport lots. Drivers had to check everything before they pulled out.

We bought our trailer from a friend that also owns a trailer/RV shop. They had lost the keys for it, but the day we went to pick it up he changed out the whole door handle/lock in about 5 minutes for us.
