| I decided to try acti flex 4000 on a whim. My 3 year old is barefoot and always had a " little full" tendons after a good ride. Never sore and vet said he just has " thicker" tendon sheath and that being barefoot might just put a little more stress there. I started him on actiflex 4000 and it took 6 days but his legs /tendons are TIGHT, cold , and he feels amazing !!! Not sure which ingredient but it's really working on him. Just started my good mare on it but her legs were already tight and cold. There was some old posts from 2014 but is anyone still using it ??? I make my own mix of actiflex, forco , and vitamin mineral. Works great! |

| I saw where they had taken out the collagen. So, y'all haven't noticed a difference in how it is working on your horses? I had used it a couple years ago and liked it and was thinking about going back to it. |

I want to know what it is about their formula that works SO FAST and how it really works! LOL SO many joint supplements out there and I have tried a few, including platinum and never really saw a difference. Most vets will tell you very little if any is useable by the horse but for some reason its really working in mine!> |

I agree, it did work fast and KEPT working. After looking at the label and reading up on human arthritis, I thought maybe it was the collagen because that really makes a difference with me. But if it is STILL working as well as ever even without the collagen, then I need to order some. |

I agree, it did work fast and KEPT working. After looking at the label and reading up on human arthritis, I thought maybe it was the collagen because that really makes a difference with me. But if it is STILL working as well as ever even without the collagen, then I need to order some.
I forget why they removed the collagen, but I remember reading something about it. I also swear it used to have 150 mg of HA, but maybe I'm thinking wrong.
I would say maybe absorption rates and the fact that it includes high amounts of all the necessary ingredients for multiple joint issues. If you go to compare most joint supplements to actiflex you'll notice actiflex covers it all. I was just comparing it to Bo's Secret the other day and you have to feed 2xs the amount and still don't get a higher amount of important ingredients. |

| Its also the SULFATE versions of ingredients. SO MANY supplements use HCL and that is not nearly as well absorbed as the SULFATE version. The actiflex is all sulfate. And the price is so reasonable to so thats another bonus. |

No, sorry to not have explained that better. Behind the knee down to the fetlock, his tendons are " Thicker" not squishy. My mare has smaller/tighter tendons, the colts have always been " Bigger". No, not like a bowed tendon, just thicker. And he has never been ridden " Hard" per se. he is to young. They are pretty much the same size all the time. But when I started him on Actiflex they have srunk down just like my mares.. Hope that makes sense. hard to put into words.. lol |

I use the powder. I have a couple horses that don't like new stuff in their feed. The liquid is coconut flavored. The powder is alfalfa based and my horses instantly loved it. |
