Do Coats saddles have a deep seat?

On mine, it's not super deep, but not really shallow either. It makes me sit a turn and ride correctly.

I wouldn't call the seat deep I would say it is a flat seat that keeps you very balanced and correct...

Ditto on the seat being balanced. It feels deep because it puts you right in the center of it with your body lined up and your feet where they belong.

I totally agree with this. I have had multiple treeless and double j saddles (pretty much every saddle on the market lets be honest) and I keep going back to coats. I have never felt more secure in my seat than in a coats.

I also agree with this statement. I feel very centered when I ride in my Coats. My Double J Pozzi made me feel "trapped". I absolutely love the ride of my Coats. If you've ever sat in an older Lynn McKenzie Special, the seat depth is similar to that.

I have a 90's model original coats and wouldn't trade it for any high end fancy saddle . I think they are designed to wrap down around the horse so you have close contact. For that reason it feels like I have more leg on my horse.

Thanks for all your replies....  I'm having a heck of a time finding a saddle that fits my horse and me!

ETA: Does the seat size run true to size?
