Do y'all think that certain bits, hacks, etc could take the run out of one? I don't mean completely but a little slower? If so what headgear do you think can take a little run out? Thanks in advance

If your riding a super broke horse , anything with a longer shank and less gag will show one down by making them run behind the bit. If they are not broke then might have opposite effect.

I certainly do.
Do I think there is a hard and fast rule about which ones will? No, I think it depends on the horse and the bit and the rider.

My gelding runs in a Jim Warner hack with a nice first barrel but certainly runs harder in a draw bit with even better 2nd & 3rd barrels but has a bad first in a draw bit. Just looking for suggestions on what to try
