Location: London Ontario | We are going down the 6-11th this year for a few birthdays in the group. It will be everyone's first time in Vegas. We plan to do dinner and a show one night for my husband and I, rodeo one night, Freemont Street, obviously shopping, and hopefully a trip to the Hoover. What else is there we must do? Were thinking of a day hotel hopping to see what shopping is where. Any specific bars or casinos we need to attend? My husband wants to gamble and I want to shop hahah. We DO NOT wanna do the Grand Canyon... |

| I feel like even the best thought out plan will go to H*** once you get there. Especially since none of you have been. You will be majorly overwhelmed by just the shopping related to the NFR. I wouldn't even waste my time with the Hoover dam during NFR time, honestly. Too much other fun stuff to do! Fremont is a must. You will find something new you want to do every time you turn around once you get there. Rodeo, Southpointe is great, wander around the strip, wander around Fremont, take in viewing parties at MGM. IDK. It's sensory overload but the BEST BEST BEST time.
Edited to add Cowboy Christmas - in case that isn't a given. We usually spend 2 full afternoons there to really get thru it all. Arena up top with stuff going on to watch as well.

Location: Georgia | We have been three times. We spent alot of time just walking down the strip going in and out of all the hotels. Each hotel is unique and different. The "casino" smell will get to you after a while though, so be sure to spend time outside in the fresh air lol. Fremont street is neat at night but dont waste your time going during the day. You can spend a whole day at Cowboy Christmas. Its awesome! Be sure to check out the NFR schedule. There are a ton of shows and mini siminars going plus it gives you the time/place certain competitors will be signing autographs. The last time we were in Vegas we went to Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden And Dolphin Habitat at the Mirgage. It was very cool! I would recommend doing it if you have a little free time. The high roller is awesome. I suggest going around dusk. The view is amazing! Also, circ du soleil shows are worth the money. We saw "Ka" the first year we were in Vegas and it was mesmerizing. Vegas is such a cool place. You will not have trouble finding things to do. Have fun! |

| I have never been during the NFR but have been lots of other times. Lots to see and do. The High Roller is a must - absolutely amazing views. The Eiffel Tower at the Paris, roller coaster at NYNY, and Fremont is the best people watching of anywhere. LOL. We usually stay down there - it's marginally cheaper to stay along with marginally cheaper food and drink if you know where to look. The container park off of Fremont is fun shopping and the mob museum is cool too. If you want a nice, fancy dinner - not cheap, but REALLY good - Triple George just one block off of Fremont. The fountains at the Bellagio are a must-see and one of the few free things, along with the Treasure Island ship show, and the Mirage volcanoes - all of these are best at dusk or evening time. Gilley's bar in Treasure Island has a mechanical bull if you want to give that a whirl and Toby Keith's I Love this Bar and Grill in Harrah's has AWESOME food and drinks. Not cheap - but good. The Miracle Mile of shops at Planet Hollywood is fun to go through too - there is a Nestle Toll House cookie shop - if you need a sweet treat. Menopause the Musical will keep you laughing throughout the entire show - it is a freaking riot. I'd recommend Rock of Ages but I think it is no longer playing anymore. Have FUN! |

| Don't plan too much! If it's your first time you are certain to get overwhelmed. The great thing about Vegas is you can just take off walking down the strip and see and do SO MUCH! Several of these have already been mentioned but:
Bellagio Fountains (especially at night)
Sky fall Lounge on top of Delano/mandalay Bay (best view on the strip at night)
Vegas the show! At planet Hollywood is GREAT and would be good for a first time show
Best CIRQUE type show is MICHAEL JACKSON ONE at MANDALAY BAY
Take a day(or 2!) to just walk in and out of all the casinos, they are all different
Of course Cowboy Christmas is a must, the NFR shopping at MANDALAY is excellent too!
The new area called "the park" around Monte Carlo NYNY is really neat lots of good eats and treats
Don't forget to sign up for the casino players cards for promotions if your husband is a gambler ;)
This will be our 15th straight NFR so hit me up if you need more tips! We will be there the 8th-12th! |

Location: MN | Everyone has suggested some really good things! We went to the Cirque Du Soleil at Treasure Island a few years ago and it was one of the neatest things I've ever seen! Could've watched it over and over.
If you are looking for a fun bar, the Jack Daniel's bar across the street from TI (cant remember which casino it is in) is SO MUCH FUN. Especially if you like karaoke!
We also saw some really neat street performances while just walking the strip.
So many fun things to go do and see! Have fun! |

| We are going for the first time also! It's technically our honeymoon I guess, but since we got married in May it's also kind of just a vacation, lol. Excited and taking notes :) |
