For the those who own circle y Kelly k, Lisa Lockhart, Tammy Fischer or just b natural how do you feel about the quality? Have they held up well? I feel the quality is different then Martha Joseys or other circle y saddles. The leather feels different. Before I buy one I just want to know how well they hold up.. Ect.

I have had the Kelly K and Lisa Lockhart on trial. I feel for the money the leather quality is junk. I hated the stirrup "leathers" on the Kelly. It was like a plastic material.

I just got a brand new Jackie J. Had to send it back because the front was sewn crooked. Circle Y has gone down hill quality wise IMO.

My friend and I each have a Lisa.  We are not impressed with the quality.  We both have rode older Cactus saddles and the quality of leather and craftmanship on the Cactus is way better than the Lisa.

I have a newer Tammy Fischer (I know they changed up the rigging a bit from the first few) and my mom has a Kelly Kaminski flex tree.

As far as quality, mine is well made, I have no real complaints about it. I think the leather on my Bob Marshall was a bit softer, and the seat as well, but not a huge difference.
My mom likes hers as it actually fits her weirdo horse haha. The quality of the leather is probably a tiny bit better on hers. I agree with whoever else said the stirrup leathers are weird. Hers are nearly impossible to adjust also, she or can't do it...we have to find a man and he better workout!! HAHA. The leathers on my Tammy are SOOOOO much better than the buckles I had to deal with on my Bob.
Overall, we both really like our saddles, they ride great and were in our budget. And while the leather is a bit stiff on both, it's also thicker than on other saddles I've seen.

I've had two Lisa Lockharts. I really love the saddles themselves and how they feel and fit my horses, but I do agree there are companies out there with better leather quality.

I bought the first Lisa Lockhart in 2014. Been holding up great to lots of miles and lots of use. (Of course, I'm pretty anal about my stuff and probably take better care than most.)

I do have another Circle Y saddle that we bought around 2004. Put lots of miles on that saddle too over the years, and rode lots of colts in it. Has held up just fine.

If you were to put a Martin and a Circle Y side by side you would choose Martin over the Circle Y simply because of how the leather felt....

Leather is tanned differently than we tan here in the US. It makes the leather plastic feeling, hard, and extremely shiny. Tooling is not deep and they wear out very quickly. For the price, I would find a different saddle.

Not a fan. I currently have a Jackie J treeless and a Just B Natural. I love the way both of them ride. I had a stirrup leather split on the Jackie right below the attachment ring while running to the 2nd barrel. Much much butt pucker. I know several people that have had the same problem with the Tammy/Jackies.

The leather on the JBN is ok. It's really soft and a bit thin, especially on the fenders and jockeys. No comparison to the higher dollar saddles but it rides good.

The quality of Circle Y has really gone down the tubes over the years, you can tell just by looking at the leather and the tooling. So sad because they use to be a great company back in the days. I still regret selling my Martha Josey's I had they were built so nice and the quality was there but now adays not so much.

I have a Circle Y Marlene and a Lisa Lockhart. While they are not the quality of hand made saddles or some other companies out there, for the money, I have not had any issues with either of mine.

I have a 2006 Circle Y Marlene Special Effx that is fully tooled and has an angled-cut square skirt. It is super nice. However, I will agree that most of the newer products from them LOOK (I haven't really seen in person lately) cheaper. Mine definitely is not shabby leather, but the newer ones look to be.

I have had my hands on some of the newer circle y's and just can't bring myself to spend that kind of money on them. Ditto for a reinsman Marlene I ordered and sent back the day after I got it.

I have a 1998 circle y NBHA trophy saddle that I just bought used this summer. Could use new fleece but that saddle is solid despite turning 20 next year. Even if we sell the horse I use it on it'll stay in the tack room.

The leather quality on my Triple Creek is far superior to what I've seen on the newer circle y's and I can buy those custom built pretty fancy for 1/2 the money that circle y asks out of some of theirs with a known name attached.

I have a TF ... the biothane or plastic type stirrup leathers were tearing. Circle Y replaced it for free. While I now have leather stirrup leathers, they pinch. I don't particularly
like or care for the TF for me personally, but for whatever reason my horse likes a treeless better, so I just deal with it. Had a Just Be Natural saddle for a little while. Wasn't impressed with the quality there either. Will probably retire my horse, since he hasn't been ridden since October of last year due to navicular that we just can't seem to get a handle on ... so the saddle will be retired too.

I have an older Martha Josey Circle Y that I've ridden the cr@p out of and it's held up awesome! It's still a great saddle and I'd still be using it if it fit my current horse. I was really bummed when I had to get something different for him, but I've held onto it because I love it so much.

LOL, never let it go, I have 2 Martha Joseys that I have been looking for, I check the ads just in case who ever bought them from me decides to sell them.. I love the saddles I have now, but would love to have my MJ's again they were really nice saddles, they were from 98 to 2000, so if anybody has the older MJ's you better hang on to them, lol..The quality is just not there anymore on the new ones and thats just too bad because Circle Y was one of the best companys back in the day.

The leather almost seems like a plastic. Not at all impressed with the quality of the Circle Y.

I have 2 TF, and although I like to ride in them and they work really well for me, I miss my BM because I feel like the quality just isn't there. But I ride better in my Tammy than a Bob, so I'll stick with the Tammy. I had an older Martha and the quality is 10x better on the older circle y'all than what they are producing now.
