Location: Oklahoma | I received one of Charmayne's book and in it she talks bout horse nutrition and has an amazing pic of scamper at 28. Does anyone feed her feed or tried her feed? I know nothing bout milo which she does talk bout milo in her book. She states that she worked with a nutritionist to come up with her feed and that its not for every horse but the majority. It looks like its available in a couple places in ok , tx and nm. Just wondering everyone's thoughts on this feed. thanks |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | Milo (grain sorghum) has to be roasted before feeding and when you do, it pops like popcorn. It's a good feed if you can get it. From what I've heard it's expensive, but I have no personal experience. |

Location: Idaho | I don't know much about it but I remember when it was Scamper's Choice and when it first came out, I considered feeding it. However I do remember it was very high in protein(15-16%) and had molasses in it. I would have considered it more of a sweet feed. I remember the sales person there also steered me to a different feed for that reason because I was looking for a nutritional dressing for my supplements as I have had problems in the past with sugar sensitivity in my horses effecting their feet.This was a long time ago..probably like 6-7 years ago. So I decided against it.
