Location: Oklahoma | Looks like he had a paddock accident a couple of days after arriving at Royal Vista in Oklahoma for the 2018 breeding season. He was a very pretty boy.
From his Facebook Page
It is with heavy hearts and the deepest sadness, our family must share that A Smooth Guy was laid to rest. Smoothie suffered an injury to his leg while playing in his paddock. After consulting with several vets, it was agreed that the damage could not be repaired. We thank Royal Vista Equine (Laura, Milt, Vaughn & Jill) both business associates and friends who have gone above and beyond in helping us get thru this tragedy. Those of you who know us well, know what our horses mean to us. We feel so Blessed to have had Smoothie in our lives.

| I am stunned and so heartbroken for them- I am sure they are second guessing themselves like crazy for sending him to OK:/ I was so looking forward to visiting him!! I have a coming 2 yr old stud colt by him and a contract for my Cartel Success mare for next year. The colt is the sweetest and smartest/most athletic I've ever been around, looks like a dark brown version of his dad. Smoothie sure stamped them!! What an impact he has made in such a short amount of time! |

If I'd wanted to breed to him, the 5 panel would not have bugged me. I would have just checked my mare first. So sorry for their loss.

An arguement could be made for the moral obligation of "improving the breed" and excluding him because of his 5 panel.
but it's a moot point now and this is not the time or the place for it so
Condolences to the Meyers and all of his connections.

| Other than his dad, he was my favorite Myers stud. :( Was on my bucket list to own one. I watched the video of him going into his stall at Royal Vista after he arrived. Who knew just a couple of days later this is the news that would come. Just sad. |

He had so much presence in that video!! I keep watching it- I don't think I have ever been so attached to a horse I never saw in person:( |
