| My horse is the pickiest horse on the planet. He ate THE Muscle Mass (with a mix of other formulas - hoof, joint, etc.) for awhile. Now he won't even touch his dinner if it's in there. Brand new bag, so it's not old. I tried adding healthy coat. Same, won't touch it. Won't touch Healthy Coat plain on his grain either.
So, what is good for a strong topline for a 23 yo appendix gelding heavy on the TB?? Or something that you mix in that you've had good luck with horses eating? Powders are probably the worst. Pellets are probably the best. But I don't want to break the bank either. |

| No. Simply because I don't want to get him started on fighting me to give him stuff orally. Because if he didn't like it, there's NO way he'd tolerate that for very long. Feeding something that becomes that much of a pain isn't worth it, and I'll find something he does eat. |

Location: Gainesville, TX | Possibly. We have a broodie that got daily regumate. She was so used to it I didn't even have to catch her, just walk up to her in the pasture and squirt, done.

| I've got one of those picky eaters.. I've tried a ton of different supplements and he'd turn his nose up to each one.. what are you feeding now? I changed grain to a higher fat and added alfalfa to the diet..only thing I add is a squirt of dyna pro and it's such a tiny amount he doesn't notice. |

| He is getting 4lbs of Purina Senior Active with a little 12% texturized purina sweet feed thrown in for taste. He's getting as much as a scoop will hold overflowing (split two feedings) and heavy alfalfa with little grass hay, also twice a day. They have minimal grass in a mostly dry lot that they can pick around in.
His supplement for the past year has been THE. Was feeding Nutrena Senior feeds and switched. Previously SmartPaks about broke the bank, and I wasn't satisfied at all and then the topline went downhill. Absorbine FlexMax. And before that was JointCombo Hoof and Coat. Those are in order backwards for what we've fed. |

| Have you tried top dressing with apple cider vinegar? That's what has worked for me.
If you're looking for an all in one supplement that will still help top line, I'd look at MVP Exceed 6way. It is a pellet. |

| I have never ever had a horse turn a nose to curost total support!! In fact they dig through the oats to eat that first, then finish the rest/ |

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | I have an extremely picky eater as well. Just so happens hes also my hard keeper (of course). The ONLY thing that helped him gain where he needed was the DAC bloom and oil, on top of Tribute Kalm Ultra. I put the oil on his grain and mixed it together real good then added the bloom so it would stick. Not a single drop left. Im totally convinced it was the DAC, i tried so many other things for weight and its the only thing that worked for him. He doesnt even have to be on it anymore thats how good it worked. I add him back on the bloom normally for show season just because its for muscle too, but he doesnt need it. Also very affordable! |

Location: Oklahoma | Take the hoof out. That is the one part of THE that my horses will not eat.
I used to get the paint on from THE, but they discontinued it. If you get just the hoof additive, it stinks something terrible so I imagine that is what he is not liking.

That dac oil smells so good... I usually include that into their diet come shedding season! The cats, dogs and even my chickens hang out while I squirt that into horses feed hoping for a taste |

That's actually a good idea. I got a sample of just MM that he did eat ok, so might just try the plain MM. He really has to have that for the topline, which is my major concern. I contacted my dealer. |
