Location: on my horse | There's an old thread on here about it but I want to ask again, has anyone else had this problem? I've been riding my Jackie for like 3 years now, same horse etc. and just lately I'e had super bad lower back pain. I've tried different pads, my weight etc. hasn't changed and my horse really hasn't either.
Is it just because my saddle is getting more broke in? Any advice? Should I change saddles? I do notice I feel better if I ride with my feet out of the stirrups since I feel like they are a little too far in front of me anyway in the saddle. |

| I have only ridden in the Bob Marshall sports saddles, so cant give advice on other brands, but have not had back issues with any of them (brand new to very old and broke in). |

Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | Bumping this up! I was interested in trying a sports saddle because I HAVE horrible lower back problems. Glad I saw this!!!i was in a truck wreck that damaged some nerves in my lower spine and I was thinking a sport saddle would take some of the impact of a tree off my back?! |

Location: Some where I haven't left yet | Low back pain has 10 Million causes. I ride in a BM and started having it... my hips were out... due to no fault of my BM saddle. Even in my ranch cutter I would hurt. |

Location: Iowa/Missouri | I have really bad scoliosis so lower back pain is a evreyday occurance with me. I've rode in a Tammy for the last two years and do not feel like I have any worse pain or that it is magnified by riding in a treeless. |

This. I donβt ride treeless, but I know when I need a trip to the chiropractor as I usually start to get lower back and sciatica nerve pain.
If the pain is new Iβd investigate it more before blaming the saddle. That being said, I have several friends who have gone to using CSI pads with their treeless saddles and love the support the pad provides for them as well as the horse. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | This happened to me on one certain horse. My SI joint area got super bad sore. Turned out my horse was sore in the SI area due to stifle issues. I could ride him in a treed saddle and not hurt, but the BM killed me on him until he got fixed. |

| Sent you a PM but I also had back and hip pain immediately after making runs in a J Jatzlau saddle and had no pain before I stepped on my horse. They are great saddles but I think if you are prone to back issues, you do take a more direct impact when your horse sits hard for a turn. I sold mine and wish I had another one just to exercise horses in but not to run in.

Location: on my horse | I've been testing my theory this week and notice i don't have back pain if i just ride bareback, but do in the saddle. I don't think she's out anywhere, has been recently adjusted and hasn't done much since the adjustment. Me on the other hand.... |

Location: NE Texas | You might try a saddleright pad under it. I don't ride a treeless currenlty, but have had several over the years. I have found that with my treed saddles, I get alot of bounce up through my saddle and through a turn with anything other than a saddleright pad. It seems to absorb more up of the concussion from my horse to me and vice versa. |
