I have a horse that shows no muscle soreness in his shoulders or anywhere else in his body for that fact. He will feel off on the right front, but it isn't noticable to someone who doesn't look for it. And he will stand with the right front foot in front of the left front. I am thinking either not enough cartilage in the shoulder joint or tension in the shoulder joint. It is already eliminated to not be in the foot or leg. He is only 4.

here is a link to a video with an exercise that we have been doing that helps a bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rG8ekfBJ5kc and another showing it a bit different https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hu_ilMvDfCk

anybody had anything similar? any supplements? or anything?

I can't get the video to play but shoulder soreness, especially near the point of the shoulder usually indicates foot soreness. General shoulder soreness usually means the horse is over compensating (causing soreness) for something going on in the lower leg.

Totally agree with the other response I have a mare who has had major shoulder issues and it's tied to her conformation and front feet soreness. I fixed the front feet and she hadn't had an issue in a while...you could always inject the coffin joint and see if it clears up. I did that plus had her actual shoulders injected

My chiro kept noticing tightness in my gelding's shoulders...not "pain" and not really out, just tight. Every time he would remind me to do a good bit of stretching with him.
It ended up being due to saddle fit issues, changed saddles and he was never "tight" again in his shoulders.

^^^^^THIS. I just went thru this about 4 months ago. It was a hoof issue. Start low with a block and work your way up.

My horse gets shoulder injections a couple times a year.  His stemmed from thin walls and soles.  I finally got his feet fixed and his front end has loosed back up.
