| I emailed APHA about a REGISTER OF MERIT certificate that my horse earned in the middle of last week and got it Saturday. It only took them 4 years to get it to me. The date that he earned the points was November 6 2013. I have to commend them on their efficiency. |

Location: Texas | Poor little APHA. Their ineptitude, high fees and focus on the show horses has hurt them. Add in that there are basically no races for the paint race horse, and there goes the breed. They did a good thing with PBRIP but still, too many fees. |

Location: Mountains of VA | While I don't have a lot of paperwork going through the APHA, I have nothing but good things to say about how quickly my paperwork has been processed and sent back. I do think the Assoc. could benefit from focusing more on true performance Paint horses. Personally, I'm sick of looking at WP and Halter horses at the breed shows. Even the so called "hunter" horses are nothing but WP horses with different tack. God forbid, you actually show up with an honest to goodness barrel/pole horse at a breed show..........all the "all-round" WP horse people throw a fit because they know they will not get any points if they enter the speed classes since their horse can only go slow with their head in the dirt. |

Location: the other T-town, Oklahoma | Sorry about your bad experience with APHA. My experience has been nothing but quick and friendly. Everyone I have ever called or emailed have always been very quick to respond. I have gotten my horse's ROM in the mail and other certificates that I had to call a fellow Paint friend to find out what the heck they were. I still don't know what they mean or what he got but we got them! |

| They are still probably better than AQHA. I had AQHA register one of my horses in someone elses name it took some time to get them to make it right. |

| I did not mention that in 2013 when my horse won Res Champion in poles, he was not even listed as being in the class at all. Not to mention how many times I have called about the ROM.
I have never had a problem with AQHA in 40+ years of dealing with them. |

If you have a superior in barrel racing and are just now getting an ROM, APHA is way behind on your things too. |

Nope. Got my ROM didn’t know what it was. Then got the Superior. Still no clue. Raneysky is laughing and making fun of me and my lack of horse show knowledge. She didn’t know she took me on to raise. |
