Anybody have a solution for this? It's right where the piping is on the ankle. Boots are comfortable besides that, but they seem to fold in there and bite the crap out of my ankle.

Thanks in advance!

SOAK WITH LEXOL on both sides of boot ..

May have to take a case knife and rasp the inside area ..

Large thick bandaid on the inside of the boot to cover the crease that’s rubbing. Are they newer? I seem to remember mine doing this for a little while until the tops got good and broken in.

I believe when my newest pair of boots did this I wore the thickest socks I could and just waited it out.

I work at a western store.  Sometimes where the seams all meet up they will fold in a little.  We have a long pinchers that we can work the leather and smooth those seams out. I would check with the store you bought them from.

Thanks for all the info. They are used because I coudn't stand the last 3 NEW pairs I bought, I was hoping by them being already worn, they might be doable. I just about can't stand western boots anymore. Love the looks of them but horribly uncomfortable!

Do they happen to be Dan Posts?! Mine are doing the same thing. I just wear thick socks when I do wear them but I have been wearing my old comfy ones instead. Ill try the soaking!

I had a screw in my ankLe that was backing out due to breaking it. My boots kept rubbing it raw..I took a razor and sliced next to the piping a couple inches verticaly.problem solved.

No, they are Ariats. I guess I need to mark them off my list. I honestly think I'm going to place an ad for used boots. It's less painful to take a $50 pair to Goodwill than a $200 pair!

Save your money, throw your cheap boots away, and get some Luccheses. The high quality leather gets soft quickly.

I always wanted some Luccheses until I tried some on. The pair I tried on were NOT comfortable at all. I think I'll stick to my tennis shoes and change into boots right before a run.

Here's the Luccheses I wanted:
