Ok Guys, I have read reviews and stuff but for people who have actually used it , what are you thoughts on Amplify?  Pros and Cons.  If you have before and after pics of it working please feel free to share. How long Did it take before starting to notice a change in your horses?
Thanks in advance!!
If there is another High- fat supplement that works better please feel free to share that as well.

I use the Purina Amplify on my 27 year old. He was not gaining any weight and not holding his weight before I started using it. I have had him on this for probably a year and a half (maybe longer). He gained weight and is holding his weight. But I also feed him Bluebonnet pellets but I don't have to feed a lot of the Bluebonnet. I also give him Omnis cubes and he is on pasture 24/7 so that helps also. He is at a nice weight going into winter. Sorry but I do not have before and after wished I did. I have used other weight supplements before I started the Amplify. I also need to mention that he also gets the MM with added blends which with this combination he is doing well for a 27 year old.

I wish I had before and after pics also!! My guy has been on it for so long...haha. I used to use Fat-Cat but switched to try Amplify and I notice a difference! To be honest, I don't see a HUGE like night and day difference, but I can keep weight on him easier when he's on Amplify. On the Fat-Cat I didn't notice any difference =/

I use it on my super old horses. I love it. A little goes a long ways and they seem to like it. You can see a crazy difference if you start off with a skinny old guy and just add the Amplify.

it's good stuff. It is expensive for what it is. I use canola oil, rice bran, sunflower seeds and high fat food instead, but in general I'm a fan of the purina horse feed and products, if you don't mind paying for them.

Amplify did help my hard keeper but it also made him SUPER hot!  I think it worked in about a month, but I just couldn't handle hime  Rice bran (1-2#'s) really brought him around without the crazy brain and as we've both progressed I've found that his underlying poor "doing" was because he never really felt good due to upper respiratory issues-he just wouldn't eat really well and I've found since getting his respiratory issues under control he doesn't need "extra" stuff.  He still gets a few pounds of oats, 2 pounds of woody's summer heat (beet pulp based) a cup of flax and woody's bloom n groom (mineral)  Granted he gets more than my other horses of comparable size and activity but he's doing fine without the rice bran or amplify.

Two of my favorite broodmares are hard keepers. AND LET ME TELL YOU. I'm not usually a purina fan, i'm VERY skeptical with them. So i most often like and feed safechoice products. This year she was on safechoice mare and foal and i topped it with a spare amount of amplify and lordy did she keep weight this year! Her colt suckled off her like a parasite but she kept her weight all the way through! And especially now that her teeth were done shes actually getting some good ole fat on her butt and looking.... wait for it... CHUNKY!!! This mare never looks chunky! So i have got to say its my number 1 recommendation when people ask me about getting weight on a horse... I mean a side from PLatinum Performance, but thats in a different category for the most part.

I like amplify because its a nugget and not an oil, so horses who typically turn their noses up at oils tend to think amplify is a bit more palatable. Nothing's more frustrating than a hard keeper who now is leaving their food behind because its got oil on it. *eyeroll*

I love the amplify, It is the one thing that has helped put weight on my very hard keeper and he loos amazing when he got put on it. I use it as directed adn do not try to cheapen it. I also used it in addition to a grain that has amplify in it. I havent had him on it this summer but had for several years before that, Our purina dealer went out of business so I started using another hig fat food but if I need a fat supplement thats my go to stuff .
