Owner of a ratting catting machine Posts: 2258	They don't suit every riding style. If you don't ride with a lot of outside rein and you work your horse with a lot of bend, I think you'll need a different bit. I love my cj bits and use them consistently.

Owner of a ratting catting machine Posts: 2258	I think people buy them thinking that there will be a ton of rate and leverage in them, and I don't feel like there is. They're designed with an equal ratio so not tons of whoah as compared to a Pozzi or a Goosetree lifter. They're really useful for me on a super broke horse to stay straight into the turn and really engage the hind quarters while staying snappy in the front end. I like the chain and Waterford mouthpieces the best.

I'm Cooler Offline Posts: 6387 Location: Pacific Northwest	I have two, and I like them enough that I won't sell them, but neither of them are main bits. I have the Grasshopper and low port twisted pretzel bit.
