I had one that bruised her hip/tore a hip muscle. Time off
(6 months
) and animal element cissus. After six months I sent her to my trainer who ponied her at a long trot for a month. Then I started riding her again. She came back good! Not quite the same as your injury but similar.

You want to increase blood flow to speed healing. PHT blanket will help. Cold Laser and Theraplate. Draw it out liniment to decrease inflammation. Dac Herbal Respond for pain and inflammation and Optimum Flex Plus.

Your fracture if it's on the ilium wing is more of a fractured pelvis then hip which the hip would be the femur/ hip joint. This is the injury my horse is currently in rehab for. 6 months strict stall rest then another 6 months of going very slowly for rehab. My mare had a pelvic fracture on the wing and shaft along with deep psoas muscle soreness. Since healed she now she has sacroiliac arthritis which sucks. Its been a long slow road and I am finally seeing progress 15 months out. For a while her recovery was guarded.. But the key is to go very slowly. I'm still far from competition. Probably another 6 months. Your best bet it getting a lunging system like an equiami ot pessoa system and walking and trotting over ground poles while lunging. The lunging aid will allow you to work long and low and strengthen the back and inner soft tissue too. The ground poles will get them stepping up and through. This is what helped my horse the most. She was very weak and sore. She's improved drastically in the hindend and I've been riding her for 3 weeks now finally! But She has something going on in her front left. She has very thin soles from a farrier that trimmed her to short so now I'm dealing with that as well. I purchased a magna wave because I was getting desperate since I was not seeing improvement in her lameness from her pelvis. I was getting scared. I've done everything along with a bone scan to see if there was more. Anyways. Shockwave, chiropractic and acupuncture were a big help. You could do acupuncture and shockwave while she is healing along with magna wave. But only chiropractic AFTER the fracture has healed. Here is a video of her from August to now. I'm 3 months into rehab. 2 months of lunging and 3 weeks of riding. She used to be very short on her hind left.

yes 6 months no turn out, no hand walking nothing. When I say strict... I mean she never left the stall. I didn't use any products. Back on track Blanket might be a good idea to help with stiffness from being in such a confined place. I think the stall rest is what made her so weak. You absolutely need to do the stall rest but it sucks how much they loose.
