How do they ride? Hard to beat the price, but would like some input on the new style one. Thanks

Nice saddles but they are very heavy and the seats are wide. I like narrow seats but that is personal preference. I do not know anything about the tree other than they are wood rawhide covered, that explains the weight. It's a tough saddle. The bulk and weight of them remind me of roping saddles honestly.

I talked to a guy who got them. Pretty wide indeed and suits him, so yes it is more on personal.

I completely agree with the wide part. I bought a new one this summer, loved the look and everything, but I couldn't ride in it very long because it made my hips hurt. I'd suggest you try one at a walk, trot, and lope to see if it works with you or against you. They seem to have a pretty good resale value if you can't try one out
