| Was wondering what are some must haves to keep for extras in your tack box/trailer? I learned it's a good idea to have extra conchos and screws, which I ordered more of the other day my bridle broke. I like to be prepared. | |

Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | If you look in my trailer you’d think I was a doomsday prepper! I always have tack repair tools, a spare girth, halter, etc. if I’m going a long way from home I take a set of shoes for each of my good horses- they are shaped and ready to be tacked on if they pull one. I keep a fully stocked medical box, water hose, extension cords, black tape, super glue, PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING. The living quarters of my trailer is a whole different story! It stays fully stocked!! There is always a few changes of clothes for all of us, an extra pair of tennis shoes for me, medicine cabinet is full, snacks. I leave a set of toiletries that stay in the trailer, towels that are specifically for the trailer, I try to keep a case of water in the closet.... if we ever get stranded somewhere- I will survive for days!!

Lol, glad I am not the only one. I have at least a spare of everything tack-wise. Buckets and straps, haybags. Medical box for horses and first aid kit for humans. Stack of old towels. Rope, halters... You name it, it's probably in there. In the LQ I always have extra clothing and shoes/boots. Towels and toiletry stuff that live in there. Extra contacts. And there are always bottles of water available.
