 My living quarters came with a hay pod, I love it. Load it full of hay and just leave it until it's gone, since its enclosed I don't have to worry about it getting rained on. I don't think I'd like a simple hay rack.

Current trailer came w/o a hay rack or pod, but hope to put one on it. As far as keeping things dry in a hay rack, I used to put a good tarp down, load the hay on it & then wrap & tie securely. Never had any wet hay, nor lost any bales, etc.
