| What kind of budget did you give yourself for building a new barn? How large was it/stalls? Did you stay within that budget? What area did you build? Photos are a bonus! :) :) :) |

| That’s a really tough one. Costs can vary incredibly depending on where you are at. How much dirt work prep needs done, does the construction need to be rated for hurricanes or 3’ of snow, additional tiling to divert water, do you want to hire 100% of the work done or have the shell put up and finish the interior yourself, etc etc. I really feel like you’d be better off asking around locally or just contacting a builder - most can give you estimated by the sqft not including dirtwork and stalls, basically just the shell. Then budget becomes a personal question. |

I understand all of that. What I am wanting specifically is to gauge the average amount board buds decide to budget, (only if they are willing to share) and what styles or sizes they decided to go with. This information is very subjective to many other factors but still for fun. I am not attempting to figure what it will cost me, based on what it cost you "type of thing". |

Location: MN | People are probably tired of my barn photo's lol. The previous owner to my house built this barn and her budget was 40k. She wound up spending 50k? I believe is what she told me. The Amish built it, so that did save some money for her she says. Of course there are a couple of things I would change, but that's life and I love my barn. So incredibly blessed to call this mine! |

Thank you!! I do love it and never in a million years did I dream I'd have a barn like this. |

| Well...for fun’s sake I’ll play. I have no idea how much we spent on ours. My husband moved the original 24x40 barn from my in-laws down the road. We’ve added 20’ to one end, lean-to’s to each side, a 40’ insulated extension on the other end with lean-to and concrete floor for a shop. The south side of the barn is open, we have 4 runs between 16 and 20 ft wide and 30-40 ft long and open into our dry lot. We have a tack room and a concrete pad for grooming. Loft for hay and additional hay storage on the ground. I love not having stalls. We use our skid loader to clean out the runs. We need more hay and equipment storage as our business grows and we’ve talked about in the next 5-7 years putting up an indoor arena with a similar open south side with runs off it and converting the existing barn into equipment and hay storage. Fingers crossed - I badly want a place to ride when the weather sucks.

Yes! I love it! However, I dont know how it will be years on down the road or if it will fade. My house is steel red siding and it has faded on some sides, so I am assuming this will do the same. |

| Well mine is absolutely nothing special or fancy but me and the husband built it ourselves. He did most of the handy work while I maneuvered the tractor around lol! We have about 5k in it. We had to budget tight! But it works ... keeps my horses out of the weather and the tractor and hay dry. We added on the overhang after a few months of saving up for more tin. We pushed our shed over against the overhang .. I keep my feed and tack in there. Like I said, it's not fancy by any means but it works! We did the electric too. My horses have fans and lights. We can fit 200 bales of hay on the end stall where we keep the tractor. |

How big is the area that hold 200 square bales? |
