I am trying out T.H.E. ulcer prevent right now, but I also want to add a pellet for this years hauling/stressful time for my 2. So I know everyone raves obout Exceed 6 way or Gastro Plex pellets...but I'm really wanted to compare this with DAC Cool Gut I see good reviews on. Can anyone give me testimonies on Cool Gut or?

Bump I am interested as well. Ive heard good things about both, but Cool Gut is much more affordable.

FORCO daily. Twice daily while on the road or stressful situations. Ulcerguard prevent dose on the days you haul. Ulcerguard will keep the acid down and forco conditions the gut. I have also used Curost stomach with tremendous results. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for.

I was able to get a month of exceed 6 way to try, I loved it. My mare ran without ulcer meds (which usually causes her to go off feed), but it is $$$. I also love SmartGut Ultra. She ran on it also without ulcer meds and had no appetite or behavior changes. Its like $80-90/ month. I tried the THE Ulcer on her a few years ago and it would not keep her from requiring the meds. I have used THE in the past with amazing results, but horses are like people. If I had the money I would use the 6 way on everything. I really liked it. When my now 3 is of running age & training he will go on the 6 way.

I used the Cool Gut and I loved it. My mare would have stomach problems from time to time and this has really helped. Don't know for sure if she has ulcers but suspected. She went from being a hard keeper to FAT. The Cool Gut was the only thing that I changed.

I just read a review online that Cool Gut has a distinct smell and there were a couple people on there saying their horses wouldn't eat the pellets. Anyone use this? I'm leaning towards trying this..mvp supplements are so pricey feeding 2..I know they say use Ulcerguard when hauling, but I'm looking for gut and hindgut happiness too. Thank you

I bought a tub of Cool Gut, and I don't need it anymore. It is completely sealed, never opened it. PM me if your interested! I have used this in the past and it does not smell strong, or distinct to me. My horse is a very picky eater, and he ate it just fine.

Gastro-Plex has been the only thing that's worked for mine, so I've stuck with it. He literally tried to climb on the hood of a truck to get away from the gate he was so bad. He goes in just fine now. If you're just wanting an ulcer pellet Gastro-Plex really isn't super pricey, especially if you buy more than 1 month at a time. The Exceed 6-Way is pricier because it's going to add 5 other elements to the supplement other than just the digestive support. There are also introductory promos on it and anyone is welcome to PM me to get info on them. I'm an Ambassador for MVP now so I can answer any questions.

I used the cool gut on my guy with confirmed ulcers and i saw a huge change in his behavior in just under 2 weeks and when we scoped again after i finished the tub, they were healed completely. He ate it right up. I do have one extremely picky eater and he would not touch it, sifted right through it. But like i said, hes a horribly picky. Everyone else that i know thats fed it hasnt had any issues with horses eating it. It does smell funny though.

My gelding is FAR from picky, but he won’t go near his bucket if CoolGut is in it. He won’t eat at all. He did well on DePaolo Excel, but now we’re trying gastroplex. He literally will eat anything edible except CoolGut.
