As I enjoy Bibles Studies that dig deep into the Scriptures, looking at the context and cultural setting of a passage. Looking up Hebrew and Greek words to gain additional insight on the meaning of a verse.
A basic truth I learned as a child: JESUS LOVES ME. Sounds simplistic, but I've discovered that although I has those words planted in my brain, I didn't always live out the reality of them day to day. The fact that God took on human form so He could suffer and die to pay for our sins is PROOF enough of His unconditional love. But He GIVES MORE. SO MUCH MORE! As I move through the day, Jesus IS WITH ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. EACH BREATH I take is a GIFT from Him. A faith-filled life is about LOVING God and others. But it's also about BEING LOVED. Because of Christ's GREAT LOVE for me, serving others becomes a joy, not drudgery. Sacrifices and suffering don't seem as significant. And I find COURAGE to face trials and troubles.
JESUS LOVES ME.... when I move this concept from my brain to the CONTEXT of my life, it CHANGES EVERYTHING.
Father God, GUIDE me today , always to do ALL things that will bring glory and honor to You AMEN
For it is WITH God ALL things ARE possible. Mark 10:26
