| Will you please give me your opinion on this stallion. He was sired by a well-bred, tie-down roping stallion and is out of a champion, tie-down roping mare. Thanks.

Location: Loco,Ok | I know both stud and mare. Both are big time winners. I have ridden several Popular Resortfigures. Know Sids mare. They can run and turn. Lots of brains. |

I own Popular Gemstone. I really loved Pearl, the mare owned by Sid Miller and rode by Cody Ohl for a few years. I decided to embryo flush Pearl in 2012, but had to wait until 2013 to actually do the flush. I decided on using Vegas Resort because of his accomplishments and his outstanding pedigree. I have always been a fan of Popular Resortfigure aka Poptart. Feel free to contact me at 903.503.3360. You can see more photos on my FB page Joe Daughtery.

| Hello Joe,
Thanks for responding. Your stallion is beautiful and also a very sturdy fellow. He's barrel-chested and has lots of heavy muscling...everywhere. I ran across Popular Resortfigure and Vegas Resort on Youtube, then your horse came up. I was surprised to see he is out of "Pearl". What a pedigree. Please state his height and details on breeding to him...and anything else that would be of interest. Thanks again. |

I didn't think this would end up being as long as it ended up being, but wanted to give you all my thoughts.
He is currently being trained to calf rope. I sent him off in May 2017 to start his training and I will get him back mid December 2017. He was 14H in May. He is currently 3yrs old and still has more time to grow taller. Pearl stands 14H and I believe Vegas Resort is 14.3H.
I'm thinking about breeding a few mares in 2018, but to be honest I am on the fence about it b/c I want him to finish his training. If you would like to use him, please contact me when you know for sure.
He is a GBED carrier, so I can only breed mares that are not carriers. When the mare is not a carrier, their is a 50% chance the foal will be a carrier, but will not have any health issues related to it. I will guarantee a live foal, because I will only breed to mares that are not GBED carriers and that I can call AQHA to verify.
Vegas Resort is 5 Panel clean and my understanding Pearl has not been tested. So with that, it is my belief that my stallion is a carrier because it was passed by Pearl. When I initially found out, I struggled with the decision of gelding him. Here are the reasons why I decided not to geld him:
A. He is out of Pearl. I have been told by a credible source that she has won over 2 Million dollars.
B. Sid Miller mentioned on Facebook that Pearl has had 50 runs at the NFR. 16 of those are go round wins and has over half million won at the NFR.
C. Pearl has won multiple AQHA World Championships.
D. I could go on forever about Pearl's accomplishments.
E. Vegas Resort was a Superhorse contender and produces great offspring.
F. Vegas is out of Regers Sheba, who is one of the highest point earning mares in AQHA.
G. Vegas Resort is by Popular Resortfigure aka Poptart who won the AQHA Superhorse title. Poptart has sired multiple calf horses that have taken their riders to the NFR. Trevor Brazil and others currently ride horses by Poptart. Poptart is now in Brazil.
H. I could go on about Vegas, Regers Sheba, and Popular Resortfigure.
Finally, if Popular Gemstone can breed a mare that is not a GBED carrier and the foal never have any health issue if it becomes a GBED carrier, I would like others to have the opportunity to have Pearl's and Vegas' gene pool. I want that pedigree and potential to live on.
At this time, I have not established a breeding contract, but the following will be in it when created:
1. At this time, I only want to ship cooled semen. No live cover.
2. Breeding fee: 1250.00 with LFG.
3. Vet fees and shipping costs will be the responsibility of the mare owner.
4. If subsequent shipments are needed, I will transport stallion to vet free of charge and mare owner will pay Vet fees and shipping costs.
I really appreciate your consideration.

Thats great. I sold him to the Millers when he was 7 days old and bought him back January 2016. He is currently with them being trained to calf rope. He will be back mid December and I can't wait to see what they have done with him. They have trained several NFR calf roping horses. |

| T.O., he really is a nice horse. He looks like an old-style Quarter Horse. |
