Those of you that have audited a clinic, do you feel like you learned something? I know riding in one is alot more beneficial, but not sure if financially ill be able to swing the riding fee.
Theres a Michelle McLeod clinic at the end of june locally. As much as I would love to ride in it, im not sure ill be able to swing the clinic fee (although i will be saving up money to try too). If i cant I think i will try and audit but i want to make sure i wont be wasting my money/day (not that meeting her wont be great, but I like to learn new things and help my riding)

of course! Auditing does have its advantages. I go with a full battery on phone and notebook and pen! You get to watch everything! and see different problems and their ideas of salving. Another thing that I used to do and still do off and on is watch successful people exhibition. You can learn a lot that way too!

It is certainly a good way to learn if you can't afford the full clinic fee. A lot of clinicians these days don't allow auditing though. With phones and social media, sometimes things "show up" online from a clinic and whether positive or negative, this is how they (clinicians) make their living.....why pay for a clinic if you can find it online for free? Or a persons reputation can be affected if let's say they have to tune on a horse and it shows up online and "the whole story" is not there. I love to audit and have in the past but I understand with phones being able to video and the ease of putting things online why more clinicians are not allowing auditing. I have been to clinics where the clinicians say no videoing but people still do.

Also, I have found some people who audit ask a ton of questions and take up a lot of the clinicians time. Some of the questions were very good I will say but you can't always hear the conversation. The people who have paid full price to ride suffer and don't get their money's worth. This has happened to me and I left wishing I had not gone to the clinic and didn't get my money's worth.

Just my opinion and experience. I would love to attend a Michelle McLeoad clinic.

Thank you both!! Auditing isnt free either but its less then clinic fee. The last clinic i did was sharon camarillo and although it wasnt a bad clinic, i dont feel like i walked away with much. I am going to try my hardest to ride in this one, but it depends on finances

I wouldn't hesitate to audit if it was someone I really wanted to learn from and couldn't swing the full fee...
The last clinic I rode in, I feel like I still would've gotten a lot from it had I been on foot. Plus, even when you're on your horse, you still learn so much from others an their strengths/weaknesses!

I rode in her clinic in GA a couple weeks ago. She answered a bunch of questions for the auditors and they learned the drills just as well as we did!
