| Time to restock my electrolytes. I wasn’t happy with the amount of blue plastic shavings in the last bucket I purchased, so am curious what you love! |

Defense Attorney for The Horse
Location: Claremore, OK | Redmond, fine grind, pink salt. 1 tbs per in normal weather, 2 tbs per day during cold snaps, hauling. Etc. I buy it in 50# bags.
It’s very important to me to give the same level of care to my customer’s horses as my own horses. That means I’m feeding at least 20 head of horses. Finding something that’s good quality and a good value is very important.
Redmond Rock salt has no fillers or chemicals. It’s salt with trace minerals, sourced from a natural deposit in Utah.
I buy it at my feed store. 50#, which is 400 double servings, 800 single servings. $15.50 for 50#
THE is Himalayan salt, salt and trace minerals, no fillers or chemicals.
50# (400 servings) for $142. That freight fee from Puru costs a lot ! ;-)

Location: my piece of paradise | THE equine electrolytes. They come in a crystal or in a tube. I will also take a scoop of the crystals and add some water to dissolve some and put in an oral syringe and dose that way. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I have to go with THE ElectrolytePLUS too. I got sick of reading the ingredients of others and all the sugars they had in them. Use Coupon code SPRING for 15% off ;) |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | Redmonds salt is good but only lists 11 ingredients in their analysis. We keep this as our loose variety salt for horses in the corral and in pasture. THE has 82 macro minerals and trace elements and is a true FULL spectrum Electrolyte. |

Yes, cold snaps or fluctuations. Winter Weather concerns me a lot more than summer.Horses tend to slow down drinking during colder weather, thereby increasing colic chances. Even though I have heated waterers I’ve found doubling their salt in take helps them stay hydrated. In Oklahoma it’s very common to have a 40 to 50 degree temperature swing in one day.when I know we’re going to have that, I’ll double the dose to keep them drinking. Basically anytime there stressed, travel, weather, etc. they’re going to get it twice per day instead of once per day.
