looking at getting doors for the ends of my barn aisle someday, so trying to plan now. Roll up vs roll to....pros and cons. I’ve had roll to before and they were ok. Wondering how much we would have to go back and reinforce for the weight of the doors and also if you used different size wood for your doors....Just looking at options from others. Pictures are a plus. Thanks!

I have sliders. If I build another barn, I'll install roll-ups. And a regular walk-in door.

THIS - I HATE my sliders, always having to dig them out and they sag. I've had them repaired and they still sag. I just had a quote to have them re-framed with a metal frame and it was around $5000 - so that's not happening.

We put a small slider on the side of our barn, but it’s only probably 4.5-5’ wide.

If I was doing a wider span and it was in the budget I’d go with a roll up.

I would definitely go with a roll-up if you can. Every set of sliders I’ve ever used have been a pain.

One of my barns has a slider. Total PIA. Never gets used because it is always necessary to dig it out to get it to move.

Other barn has an electric overhead. It is awesome!!
