I recently bought a new LQ trailer. I live where it can get to above 100 degrees in the summer. I will only be using it once in awhile and the rest of the time it will be sitting. I don't have the option of storing it inside. Does anyone have any tips/hints/suggestions on how to best keep it stored in the heat so it doesn't get ruined?

I live where it gets over 100 every day all summer as well. I have had several LQ and currently my 2017 sundowner. There really is no concern with heat. Make sure a vent is open so heat can escape. I don’t leave mine plugged in 24/7 in summer like cooler months. Winter storage and freezing is way more of a concern. Only thing you might consider is tire covers.

Put a large bucket of water in there to keep moisture inside. Depending on the heat you may have to fill it up on regular basis.

Air conditioner needs to run anyway. Turn it on once in awhile. If you can leave a few windows open when air is off, do that.

Since your concern about it sitting in the heat look in these RV and Motorhome covers they are really nice to have, I have a few friends that use them for their living quarters..

These are very affordable compared to most covers as well.

I use mine pretty regularly but it sits on the west side of the barn and catches the afternoon sun. We usually open a few windows, but that's about it. It stays plugged in so the fridge can stay on. I don't like to empty it and turn it off every weekend.

The sun is just hard on the exterior and anything on the inside that gets exposed. You may leave your curtains pulled to prevent the sun from bleaching anything on the inside. I would suggest storing it so that it only catches the morning sun if possible.

I always keep mine plugged in - to keep the battery charged. I did learn that if I kept it hooked to my truck, facing the east, the polished nose of my trailer would reflect into the back of my truck and BURN HOLES in the back seat head rests!
