| I loved it! you cant get every little detail correct? are you going to let a newborn calf be manhandled by an actor? probably not.... are you really going to use a mustang on a show? no probably not.. at least they didn't use a mare and say it was a stud.. like some movies that have been about horses.
I loved that they used broke horses in this show, because we know a rich rancher is not going to ride a puke. I loved all the actors and think they did a wonderful job..

| Yea, I could find a few things to pick on, but they DID include a sound bite of Whiskey Myers..BROWNIE POINTS! I have to admit Kevin is DREAMY in this show. I thought the horses were chosen well. Completely realistic? Nah..but I will keep watching and supporting so that hopefully more production companies will want to do western material. | |

Like the wild horse (miraculously halter broke) backing quietly out of the trailer, or the calf pulling where the 1 month old calf runs off immediately. Otherwise, it was OK. I totally agree. How hard is it to get it right? Can't they hire real ranchers as consultants, goodness. The story line jumped around a lot. The girl who plays his daughter drove me nuts, what a horrible actress she is. I will keep watching it, as there isn't much on TV that's good anymore. Anything with horses in it, I will watch! LOL! They had many real cowboys on set for the taping, but honestly real life doesn't sell. Had this conversation with one of the stunt men from the show. Funny how you can pick out people just from the way they ride. I read that Tim McQuay and Andrea Fappani were involved with some of their nice reining horses -- in fact, I think the 'dead' truck driver in the opening scene was Tim McQuay....???? I read that too, and that both of them are acting in the show, I don't even care what the show is about I would watch it just to see Fappani act LOL

| Did anyone else catch the line by Kevin Costner after he rides over to the little putting green where the land developer is practicing his golf swing? The developer asks why their town doesn't have a rodeo? Kevin Costner's character says, "Oh, you mean like rodeos who launder drug money?" I know that is not an exact quote, but it is something like that. I love watching shows that actually put fact based information in them so that people watching them can get educated on what is actually going on in the world of business, politic's, crime, etc. Also, the connection between the native American's and the casino's winning back all the white man's $$ so that they can buy back all the land the white man "stole" from them. Like "Breaking Bad", a lot of people had their eyes opened to how the drug world ties into money laundering, the slime ball attorneys, the local car wash, restaurants, etc, etc.... How many business's are really NOT so successful, yet when they are washing who knows how much illegal $$$, they can take a nobody and suddenly make that nobody look like a business genius. | |

| I thought it was entertaining. Of course not everything is realistic. The majority of it is filmed in Park City. I used to live there and recognized some of the areas. | |

| I could have done without the gratuitious bad language, just for the sake of bad language, really I mean you don't have to drop the F bomb to be legitimate. the daughter is a little much, the "big feeling" of some scenes threw me off, for all the money they have for consultants someone could have told them not to have a new born calf run off, just as easy to let one lie there and not have a "mustang" halter broke and backing off the trailer. These were easy fixes that will stick with a knowledgeable audience.
Loved the cinematography not sure i will stick with it though, kind of disappointed.

Barnmom - 2018-06-21 1:49 PM vjls - 2018-06-21 12:13 PM nope i am not a rancher but.....it looked doppy to me then also actors entertainers need to ,,, on politic so no i am not watching kevin
but thats me No kidding! He had to go on the view and voice his opinion, entertainers should learn to keep thier mouths shut when it comes to politics.
Yep, Kevin needed to keep his mouth shut. These overpaid entertainers seem to have no idea there are many conservatives like me out there who figured him for better than that and flipped channels when his soap opera premiered.
Well I was not impressed.......I may not have the most family friendly mouth but really dropping the 'F" bomb over and over was a bit much....even for me.......I found the plot hard to follow.........in my opinion it was a 1 star show......
And now with Kevin voicing his view........my view is not to view in again......

Location: In the Hills of Texas | It sucked from the very beginning. It’s Hollywood trying to put rancher’s in the same level as Hollywood. Pure Trash.
