Do you give daily? I've got 2 that I'd like to see drink more water, especially in this heat lately. They have access to clean cool water all day in their stalls and when turned out at night they have a big trough full. I typically work them in the early morning before it gets too hot but they still put out a lot of sweat. Just want to make sure they are replacing. What electrolytes are you using, had good results with that horses will eat readily? I've tried one by dynamite before but it seemed like I was pouring straight molasses to them.

I use the adeptus company version. It’s highly palatable and tastes and smells great! Be careful though with electrolytes. My vet simply tells tells me to put a tablespoon of salt in their feed if I want them to drink more, and that a horse on a good diet will not need electrolytes unless it’s an extreme case like endurance horses.

Thank you. I do have those Himalayan salt rocks on a rope hanging in their stalls but it seems like they rarely touch them. They are currently on RG senior and alfalfa hay along with a slow feed net full of excellent coastal (for once)

I only give electrolytes on extremely hot and humid days. I give the Finishline brand and haven't had any problems with them eating it.
