does anyone use wireless security cameras at their barns to monitor your horses/mares? What systems are you using and what are your likes and dislikes?

My mare recently had aurgery on her leg and my husband put up a Nest camera in her stall so I could keep an eye on her when she came home. We already had Nest cameras on our front and back porches and they have worked great. They run off of WiFi but the picture is really clear even in the dark. I love it because I have an app on my phone that is super easy to use. It also carries the sound and you can talk through it...that trips my horse out when I talk to her over it lol. I can never figure out how to post pics on here, but PM me with your email if you’d like and I can send you some images off the camera so you can see the quality.

I have friends that use the Arlo cameras in their house. I’m looking at getting the outside arlo ones for the barn. How far away is your barn from your wireless router?

The barn is probably about 40 yards from the house. We have the router up high and it is able to reach. The picture is amazingly clear!
