Can anyone provide some insight on things to try to get my mare to snap around first? I'm pretty sure it's all in the approach, but not sure on what to change. I hope this link works...

Youβre slicing the top because you are setting up the turn too soon. Sheβs committed to the turn 3 strides before the barrel. On that first pivot, you are right next to the barrel. You should roughly be 8β from the barrel on that point with a gradual tightening down to 2β on that last pivot when you leave. You have it opposite. Youβre 2β going in and 8β leaving so you are losing time since she canβt push out of the departure until you are 2 strides out of the barrel.
